China-Africa FRP Pultrusion Profile Cooperation Project (2024-2026)

1. Cooperation Unit

Chinese Enterprise: Hebei Ludi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. (leading FRP composite material manufacturer in North China)

African Enterprise: Lagos Green Infrastructure Group, Nigeria

2. Scale and Amount of Cooperation

Product Supplier: Hebei Ludi provides 200 tons of FRP pultrusion profiles (including I-beams, channels, square tubes and other standardized products), which will be delivered in four batches (August 2024, January 2025, July 2025, February 2026).

Transaction Amount: The total contract amount is US$1.2 million (settled in US dollars), including mold customization, installation guidance and 3-year maintenance services.

3. Main Uses of Products

Application Scenarios:

Kenya Mombasa Solar Power Station Support System: Replace traditional steel to solve the problem of corrosion in coastal high salt fog environment.

Nigeria Lagos Sewage Treatment Plant Structural Framework: Used for acid and alkali corrosion-resistant pipeline support and platform construction.

Accra Expressway Sound Barrier Columns in Ghana: Lightweight design reduces transportation costs, and UV resistance extends service life.

Product advantages: The strength of FRP profiles is comparable to that of steel, and the weight is only 1/4. It is also highly insulated, flame-retardant, and weather-resistant, and is suitable for tropical climates and complex engineering needs in Africa.

4.Customer feedback:

African evaluation: Ludi's FRP profiles have increased the installation efficiency of the Mombasa solar project by 40%, with zero risk of rust. The sewage treatment plant framework operates stably under strong chemical corrosion conditions, and maintenance costs are reduced by more than 50%.

Chinese response: Provide full-process technical training for African partners, assist in establishing local production lines, and plan to achieve 30% local production of products in Africa within 3 years.

Social benefits: The African Development Bank has included this cooperation in the "Sustainable Infrastructure Initiative" to promote the application of FRP materials in municipal projects in 12 African countries.
